Let’s work on your game

One-to-one coaching with Nikita Kolomnin — ranked #1 in England Masters, European medallist, UKCC Level 2. I coach around a full-time job so I take a few players at a time, mostly people who’ve stopped improving on their own and juniors chasing a county place.

From the players

What players say

"He is an amazing coach who has helped me improve my skills, techniques and tactics. He connects to me as a coach, understanding my anxiety and nervousness before a tournament and helping me with ways to deal with it. Training intensity will help you attain your maximum potential — he also advises on off-court stuff like strength and conditioning, and nutrition. Certainly aspired to be one like him!"

Kavin Karunakaran · England player, U15

"He has a method of coaching which has helped both me and my daughter improve rapidly in a very short space of time. You feel like you've improved not just over the entire session, but almost with every set of shuttle feed — which is truly incredible. We always come away from the lesson buzzing. I couldn't recommend him more highly to any adult or child of any level."

Coaching

How would you like to train?

No set programme. I watch how you play and work on what makes the biggest difference: technique, footwork, tactics and the habits you didn’t know you had.

01 · Just you and me

One-to-one

A court, a bag of shuttles and my full attention. I find what is actually costing you points and we work on it until it holds up under pressure.

  • Technique, footwork and tactics
  • Drills built around your game
  • Video review when it helps

02 · Doubles pairs

You and your partner

Most pairs lose points to each other, not to the opposition. I coach the two of you as a pair — rotation, communication and who takes what.

  • Coached as a pair, not two individuals
  • Patterns you can actually use in a match
  • For league and tournament partnerships

03 · Performance juniors

Juniors

I coach juniors who are already winning and want more — county squads, national age groups, and the ones aiming higher than that.

  • Tournament preparation and match plans
  • Technique that holds up under pressure
  • Nerves, conditioning and nutrition too

How it works

How I work

  1. 01

Tell me where your game is stuck

Message me on WhatsApp with your level, what you play and what you have already tried. The more you tell me, the more useful the first session is.

  2. 02

    We get on court

A proper look at your game: technique, footwork, decisions under pressure. You leave knowing exactly what we are fixing and why.

  3. 03

    We keep going

Most players take a regular slot so each session builds on the last. I only run a few at a time, so it stays properly personal.
